150 cups for a cafe
We did throwing training, and calculated the optimum sizes of the cups, keeping in mind the Ounces of different types of coffees, made sure the glazes are food safe and programmed the kiln. A guide through all the steps.
Throwing a thin neck
The goal was to make a moon jar with a long neck. I guided my student through all the steps, how to close a form and make sure you have enough clay to make a long thin neck.
Designing a Studio
It started with a vision, and a sketch on paper, talked with the Architect and the Builders, designed furniture, a sink, heating and light and made sure everything is sufficient to work and clean.
Throwing a thinner base
The base of my students Vases were always too thick. I was teaching him to get more clay up, and also how to trim it directly on the wheel without much wasted clay.
